Farm Mission Statement:
We breed our alpacas based upon proven genetic methods, with the goals of outstanding conformation and the best fleeces. We have adopted a long term breeding strategy to ensure these desirable traits are passed on to successive generations in what we call "Gene Weaving". With this method we can lock in valuable genetic traits without incurring risks associated with other breeding methods. Our genetically woven alpacas will create a meaningful improvement to anyone's herd.
Farm Description:
Gene Genie Alpacas is a small farm in Adrian Michigan, about 15 miles North of Ohio. We produce fine and dense fleeces on ideal conformation alpacas; and we follow the breeding guidelines of the "Ideal Alpaca Community" of which we are a member.
You will find complete (from birth) histograms; complete lineage histories; and current photographs. The descriptions are honest, and contain the areas needing improvement on each animal (and thus the breeding plan) as well as their strengths.
Hopefully, this information will help you avoid buying an Alpaca that you will be trying to "breed away from" for the rest of its life.
