Farm Mission Statement:

C & J Alpaca Ranch is continously striving to produce beautiful, healthy alpacas with acceptional fleece qualities, & color.

Farm Description:

Originating in La Quinta, Ca in 2006 with two young ladies; we are a young breeder couple excited about the industry and have made our move to Colorado to begin our business. We are now up to thirty-three alpacas, with thirteen (13) breeding females, and a few special males.

We are starting with a two stall barn on four acres in Fort Collins, Co. We have just finished  the eight (8) stall boys' condo.  Two thirds of the barn is completed, the final phase won't be scheduled to start until 2009.

Our first stud muffin is"Konala" (a 2nd Gen. StudMaster from Glacial Storm) is well on his way to notority and possibly following in dad's (Glacial Storm) and Grand-dad's (PPPeruvian Augusto) paw prints.

Then to challenge Konala for the throne at the ranch is Prince Valiant (a 2nd Gen. StudMaster), son of StudMaster Paul Revere. He looks good, and we can't wait to see how he turns out.

More recently we have acquired another gem for a possible herdsire, Charley Brown (a 2nd Gen. StudMaster)- son of StudMaster Cannonero. He is growing up to be quite a guy.  Charley has just settled his first two (2) girls and loving it.

We came across another studmaster progeny, (a 3rd Gen. StudMaster) EL BELLO's Nova. His Grandfather- The Great Hemingway is a StudMaster, his sire - a Hemingway son " Hemingway's EL BELLO" is also a StudMaster  so let's do the math. If he doesn't become a StudMaster, he would have missed a good opportunity. We really expect this guy to be a big performer and sort after across North America.

He looked so good, we just had to have him. With light brown fleece that is very crimpy & dense, and conformation that's right on the spot we just couldn't let him get away. He is truly going to be an asset to our farm program and hopefully some of the other farms will be able to take advantage of his gorgeous fiber charactristics.

Our lovely ladies include Eve, who is a beautiful medium fawn girl out of Excalibur, son of the great StudMaster Hemingway.  I think we are off to a pretty good start to our ranch.  We hope to be able to increase the size of our little harem soon.

Comeback to visit us and see how fast our ranch grows and the champions we produce.

Farm Directions:

From Interstate 25, take exit 281. Head west, (toward the MTs.) for about 4 miles - to County Road 15 (a four (4) way stop sign). Continue west about one (1) more mile until you reach County Road 17, turn right (North). We are .3 of a mile up on NCR 17 on the right.

The address is 12024 NCR 17, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Gray garage/barn, then a gray farmhouse, then on the northside of the house is the gray boys condo.
