Farm Mission Statement:
At Powers Alpacas we are dedicated to driving the improvement of the fleece characteristics of the North American Alpaca herd. Our breeding program is focused exclusively on breeding to some of the top west coast herdsires of out of the Ultima, Royal Fawn and El Nino Peruvian bloodlines. Our comprehensive breeding selection has proven to result in dramatic generation to generation fiber improvements in our animals.
Farm Description:
We recently completed a sampling of skin biopsies across the herd to assess the progress of our breeding program. The results are telling; a textbook example of how a well though out and executed breeding program can drive significant, predictable improvements in fleece quality and production.
